Own the Licence
for Your Nation
A National Director holds the exclusive Mister Afrikana licence for one nation for twelve months, renewable. This is the desk that handles every franchise question, from availability to the terms.
What the licence covers
One nation, exclusive for the term. You run the selection, build the team, stage the national final and send your titleholder to the international stage.
What you receive
Brand kit, onboarding and training, the production playbook, the majority of income you generate, and a seat at the international final.
What we look for
A track record in events, media or business. Roots in the territory. A team, or the ability to build one. Commercial capability and integrity.
How to start
Check your territory is open, then send your details to the franchise desk or apply online. We come back within two weeks.

What People
Say
Contestants, directors, partners and audience. If Mister Afrikana has meant something to you, we would like to hear it, and we will publish it here.
Early words from the community while Season 01 assembles — first applicants, families on standby, and the people asking the questions we get most.
Leave a reviewMy younger brother has been doing push-ups in the compound every morning since he saw the teaser. I came on here to check whether the age rule is real — 18 to 39, and he turns 19 in November. If anyone from the team reads these: does he need his passport before applying, or only before the finals?
Ama K.Kumasi, Ghana
Submitted my application on a Tuesday night. Four stars only because I could not find anywhere to see that it got through — a confirmation reference would be nice. The WhatsApp line answered the next day and said it was with the selection team, so I can breathe now.

I run a small barbershop in the 18th and two of my regulars are applying. I would like to know whether a shop like mine can back a candidate in some small way, or whether that is only for the big partner tiers. The tiers page says each one is capped, but I cannot see if the small door is still open.
Marie-Claire B.Paris, France
Finally something for us that is not only about the waistline. I read the eight pillars twice — endurance and purpose are what every other competition skips. I only hope the qualifying events in Accra do not all fall on weekdays. Some of us have jobs.
Kwesi M.Accra, Ghana
Third-generation Trinidadian-Canadian here. The eligibility notes say it matters whether your people are African, not where your passport is from, and that is exactly why I am applying. One question: if my territory has no director yet, who runs our selection?
Jordan A.Toronto, Canada
Not to spoil anything, but my cousin says he got past the first review and the house has been unbearable since. What we want to know is whether shortlisted men are announced publicly or contacted privately. His mother needs to know if she may start sewing the outfit or keep quiet.
